Your favorite thing about redstone: Redstone adds another layer of problem solving on top of the logic of the contraption. Especially in computational redstone, these two layers work together to create an enjoyable challenge that is unique from either.
A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): 4-bit CCA ALU
Explain what your build does in detail: This is an arithmetic-logic unit for redstone CPUs, based off of a 4-bit carry-cancel adder, that is capable of basic arithmetic and bitwise logic. The input consists of two 4-bit binary integers and six Boolean flags (Not Carry In, Invert A, Invert B, OR to XOR, Flood Carry, Cut Carry), and the output consists of one 4-bit integer and two flags (Zero, Carry Out). Below is a table representing input flag combinations for 8 compatible operations.
