Visual Studio 2012 was interesting. It completely redesigned the UI, which people hated compared to Visual Studio 2010. It also removed the Blue theme. It was also slow, which even more people hated. But it looks like it would carry lots of memories - Visual Studio 2013 would keep the theme but add blue theme, and Visual Studio 2015 would push things to the limits by introducing Roslyn as the compiler and C# editor platform, stabilizing things.
