From a standard 52-card deck, a card is drawn and then returned to the deck.

How many times must this be repeated to have a 60% probability of drawing at least two spades?

CHAPTER I - prologue I

Two months ago, I met the love of my life. It started small; we would have small talks in the school cafeteria, sometimes we would even exchange gifts with each other. A few weeks went by, and I built up the courage to ask her out on a date. During lunch, I went to go find her, and took my chance. With my heart beating out of my chest, I asked her out.

“Hey, Emily.”

“Hey Eithan! How are you?”

“I… wanna ask you something.“

“Sure, what’s up?”

“Would you… um… would you like to go on a date… with me?”

“Oh…”

At this point, I was already thinking about the worst outcome in my head. What if she said no? What if, she told all her friends about me? My reputation is ruined! Alas, I waited for her response. Then suddenly, after what felt like an eternity, she responded:

“Why would I ever say no to that?”

Instantly I felt relieved. A feeling of happiness swept through my body as I went to hug her. I scrambled through my head to think of what to say next.

“So… where would you like to go?”

“Oh, I don’t know… what about the new diner at the mall? We could go enjoy a meal there!”

“That sounds like a great idea. I’ll see you there, tomorrow.”

“Alright, see you soon Eithan!”

“Bye!”

As I walked away to head to class, my heart began to calm down. I did it, I asked her out on a date. I began to think about the date for the rest of the day. I couldn’t wait.

In a blink of an eye, the day finally arrived. I wore my best clothes, and put on my perfume. As I was heading to the mall, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. How cute her face looks, how beautiful her bangs were. After arriving at the entrance of the mall, I went to go find the new diner that she suggested we should go to. As I turned the corner, I saw her…
