I made a 32 bit binary multiplier with two shift registers and one adder. Unfortunately, the speed of the clock is 0.5Hz, which is not too fast considering that the clock has to flash 32 times.

First off all, why bump a 2 year old thread, and there is a lot of resources for multiplication in Minecraft. I’d suggest you go to YouTube and watch llr / lr episodes and some Benny videos about multiplication??!
Job is right! + as you read in the post this multiplier is not very fast, it only has 0.5 Hz (it was one of my first Redstone buildings)
also join ore and get builder. itll help u get there
and in general if you do not have the knowledge to pass builder trial youll have to acquire it anyway to build what ur trying to so its a freebie for u.
