Trial Build: 8 Bit ALU
8 Bit ALU (CCA (Carry Cancel Adder) Based)
This ALU is an 8 Bit CCA based design with XOR gate inverters on the front for !A and !B. It takes the OR of A and B after the inversions and sends it through optionally to create an XOR to OR gate then. It has a carry in input that just adds one to the output which is useful for incrementing and subtraction combined with inverting one of the inputs. Finally, it has a flood carry signal that sends a one to all the carry signals which inverts whatever comes through.
CCA Explanation for proof of knowledge:
A CCA is an adder that calculates sums and the carries in parallel which are then sent into XOR gates to cancel the sums or carries based on the other to create a smoother and faster way of computing additions.
