A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): A 4-bits ALU RCA-based
Explain what your build does in detail: The ALU take 2 numbers of 4 bits, A and B, in input, it also take an operation on the control ROM, the Ripple Carry Adder, or RCA, is a compact full adder, A and B pass through RCA and output with lamps behind. Using Two’s complement for negative numbers, where you invert all bits and add 1 to find the negative of a number, you can add a XOR gate, in front of each input, which acts like a toggle-able inverter, and connect all of the A inverter in one input, same for B inputs, and connect one of this input with the Carry In, to add 1, and put that into the Control ROM. If you force all carries to be on, a flood carries, you can make a XNOR gate, if you invert an input too, it becomes a XOR gate, you can link all the carries to add XNOR on the control ROM and link carries and invert input to add XOR on the control ROM. You can force a dust at the output of a XOR gate into the RCA to be on, which transform the XOR into OR gate, this cancel the other XOR gate and make of the RCA a OR gate, you can link that into the control ROM. Then, after transforming the XOR into OR if you invert outputs with a flood carries, you have a NOR gate, if you invert the 2 inputs and the output, you have a AND gate, if you invert 2 outputs, you have a NAND gate, if you invert one input you have this input IMPLIES the second, and if you invert one input and the output, you have this input NIMPLIES the second.
