When you were banned (approximately): 3hr 15m ago as of writing this
Why you were banned (if known): I was timed out for 24 hours because I said “defiance” three times then once again after Don said not to. Each time I only said “defiance” after ukizam had tried to log into the server in reference to his ban reason. See here (Discord link)
Why you should be pardoned: I believe a timeout is fair because it was 100% intentional on my part to continue on after Don explicitly asked me not to. I have no opposition to the timeout itself, but I do believe that a 24 hour duration is absurd. I would understand a timeout for an hour at most, but 24 hours is unreasonable. It is to my knowledge that prior incidents that are similar in severity have been given far less time.

I also see it unfair that I’m not allowed to join any voice calls in the server, which I do often, over an incident this small (timeouts are so restrictive), and this is primarily why I’m writing an appeal.

I’ll go ahead and get things moving on our decision, though we may not be able to get the votes needed before the ban is up (given it’s a relatively short ban and there’s 2 others actively being decided). I’m going to see if I can change that to avoid it in the future, but for now that’s the situation.

Thank you. I don’t really expect it to get resolved within the timeout duration because of how relatively short of a duration it is, but at the minimum I’d like this to be discussed internally so that future moderation is fairer.
