ExpertTrout9232's Builder Application

Minecraft name: ExpertTrout9232

What do you like the most about redstone?:
The computational part. I like building CPUs and other cool things.

What’s a thing you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge?:

  • CPU Saturn v2.0,
  • very powerful 64x64 pixel screen(d-latch, rectangle drawing, optional buffer, text displaying, shifting 8px up, number displaying, sprite drawing and more), still WIP,
  • components for my 2.5 Hz CPU Saturn v3.0(4 KB RAM, 4 KB barrel ROM, 256 B iCache, 64 B dCache and more) and it’s secret and WIP.
  • and much more

What does the thing do?: explained here ^^^ and in the video

What do you plan on making for your build trial?:
1-bit 3.3 Hz data loop with 6rt ALU and 8 registers + data forwarding (can be easily stacked up to 8 bit)

Do you agree with the rules?: Of course

You’re making a 1 bit dataloop as your trial build?

Why not? 1 bit not enough? Since I can’t use worldedit it will be harder to build it but this dataloop can be stacked up to 8 bits.

No, 1 bit isn’t enough. Staff are able to world edit for you during the trial. Also, I’d recommend only doing the ALU part rather than the entire dataloop.

So I’ll make an 8-bit ALU. Is that ok?

Sounds good to me.

This application has been accepted! Whenever both you and a staff member are free, feel free to ask them for a trial. You are able to try again after failing and waiting 24 hours. It is always recommended to do a practice trial with another member before starting your real one and to practice the questions found at ORE Binary Quiz to help prepare for some of the trial questions.
