Your favorite thing about redstone: I like how versatile Redstone is and how you can create really complex stuff with it.
A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): a basic 3D rendering (projecting) engine
Explain what your build does in detail: The build is composed of multiple that do the same thing: take X, Y, Z, CamX and camZ (notations may be different on the build) and compute PX=(X+camX*2)/(Z+camZ), PY=Y/(Z+camZ) (in this case camZ is equal or over 0 and camX can be treated as a negative value but you need to add 7 to it before passing it to the machine) (Not exactly… Since the center is 7 and not 0 (since signal strength cannot go below 0), it requires another division (7-7/(Z+camZ)), and since when moving the camera on the X axis the value of X+camX can be over 15 or 0 (resulting in a clamp), it computes X/Z+CamX/Z instead; also I know normally X, Z should be subtracted by the camera position instead of adding it but whatever). For fast plotting it alternates between each layer’s output via a clock. The projected position is outputted in the 2 ports in the front.
