Your favorite thing about redstone: I like after I’ve made the bulk of the build and there’s a little bug and having to go through half the build ultra studying it until I find it then have to fix it. Don’t call me weird its satisfying and I feel a real sense of having done something.
A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): 8-bit CAA ALU
Explain what your build does in detail: My build take two binary inputs and cumputes until thers one binary outpiut. It can do 6 different logic gates and add and subtract. The CCA starts by xoring the inputs then using some fancy things using torches and glass ladder calculates the carrys so you can then just xor again to get your output (sorry the cca explanation is bad I made it like 5 months ago).
Images / videos of the build: https:\\imgur,com\a\bQDhsNy replace the \ with / and the , with . (It wouldn’t let me put more than two links.

What is the name of the warp for your build on ORE?: 8-bit

I edited your post just to add in the proper imgur link since I felt that’d be easier on anyone else checking it out.
As for the application itself, it seems mostly good. The explanation of how CCA works is nice, but in this case we’re looking more for the types of calculations the CCA ALU can run such as addition, subtraction, and the various bitwise operations. Additionally, while you did meet our usual requirement for the number of correct answers on the binary quiz, I’m going to request that you submit a time significantly better than 42 minutes.
Feel free to post a reply that fixes those two issues and it should be good to go.
Sorry for that I’ll try my best on explaining the ALU bit more, also I hope 3 minutes is fast enough

The ALU works by changing different parts of the CCA until you get your desired results. If you change nothing then it just does addition. If you invert B (the second input) and add a 1 to the carry in (think carry the 1 in 3rd grade math but at the start of the equation), it changes the addition to subtraction. By adding other settings besides just invert the second input and carry in you can mix and match them to do bitwise logic. The other things you add on are a flood carry (adding 1 to the carry on every layer), Invert A (the first input), and changing the original XOR to an OR. By doing a couple of these at once you can change the CCA to do bitwise logic, and all of the outputs it can give is, ADD, SUB, OR, NOR, XOR ,XNOR, AND, and NAND.
If there is something big I’m forgetting please let me know I will do my best to fix it. Thank you for letting me alter my submission and being patient with me! Have a great day!
Please review the FAQ below to learn more about the remainder of the process of getting Builder rank.
FAQ
Q: What is my next step?
A: Join the ORE Minecraft server and request a trial with any available trialers (Engineers, Moderators, and Admins).
The server IP is mc.openredstone.org and the current version is 1.21.8 on Java Edition.
Q: Do I need to trial right away?
A: Nope! You are free to request a trial at any time so long as your application is accepted (which yours is).
Ideally you want to avoid taking too long, so we strongly recommend being sure you can pass before requesting a trial.
Q: How long does a trial last?
A: This can vary somewhat across different trialers, but generally somewhere around half an hour or less. It will often take longer if you aren’t as prepared, so we recommend reviewing ahead of time, especially with help from another member.
Q: What do I need to know for the trial?
A: This can also vary somewhat across different trialers, but here are some of the most important topics:
Binary and Binary Arithmetic (Addition/Subtraction)
Logic Gates and Bitwise Logic
Redstone Adders and ALUs
Two’s Complement (Signed Numbers)
A great way to make sure you know what to expect is to ask the specific trialer what you should learn ahead of time.
Q: How often can I retry after failing?
A: There are 2 limitations:
Trials can be done 24 hours after a failed one
Only 2 trials can be done every 7 days
Q: What are the benefits of Builder?
A: There are 3 main benefits:
Permissions to use Worldedit commands
A plot on the Build server (4 times as large as School server plots)
Access to the Survival world
Aside from that, there are also some minor benefits such as:
Running and voting in Staff elections
Joining the Seasonal server when it’s up (an occasional “Survival with a twist” type server)
Option to progress to Engineer (barring additional requirements are met)
Interact with other Build plots (assuming permission from the plot owner)
