Your favorite thing about redstone: Make CPU’s!
A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): I have constructed a 4-Bit Core Adder-Subtractor with signed number support.
Explain what your build does in detail: My build is a functional ALU core based on Ripple Carry Adder (RCA) architecture.
Addition/Subtraction: It can perform both operations using a dedicated mode switch.
Two’s Complement Logic: For subtraction, the B input is inverted through XOR gates, and the Carry-In (Cin) of the first stage is activated to perform proper Two’s Complement arithmetic.
Design Philosophy: I focused on a “raw logic” approach, prioritizing the purity of the calculation unit without the bloat of external displays or large registers, ensuring a clean and understandable signal flow.
