Your favorite thing about redstone: That you can create a lot of different things and mechanisms, like computational and logic ones, farms, doors/passages, flying machines, etc.
Over that the computational one also helps to understand the Computer Architecture better in a funnier and more engaging way.
A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): A 8bit ALU.
Explain what your build does in detail: It’s a 8bit ALU based on a CCA that can perform the following operations: Addition, Subtraction, OR, NOR, AND, NAND, XOR, XNOR.
It takes two binary numbers of 8 bits and, performs one of the operations written up chosen by a lever, and gives the solution number of 8 bits. It has also levers to try the single mechanisms combined to do the written up operations (Carry in, NOT A, NOT B, Flood carry, XOR to OR).
