my 8-bit ALU
Explain what your build does in detail:
so this is an ALU that adds, subtracts and does logic gate operations. I have flood carry, carry in, or gate and an inverter for the subtraction. it is wired as so. for each input there is an xor gate, one of those lines powers the rest of the same xor gate up the stack while the other is the input. then that output is feed into the main xor gate which also has an OR gate from the inputs that can be enabled or disabled. this OR part of the xor gate is wired into a NOR gate which is the carry cancel signal that propagates up on a glass tower to a bunch of stacked comparators. the carry generate signal is produced from the xor output. that xor output is also connected to a comparator that allows us to disable or enable an xor gate, the other side of that output is connected to the lever that actually controls that. it is propgated upwards with another glass tower. the xor output also goes into another xor gate and this other xor gate is wired so there is also a glass tower for the carry in signal for flood carry. the carry in signal is wired from the last stacks carry out. on the bottom stack that is not the case and it is wired to a seperate line that allows u to enable or disable carry in for that bottom stack
