MrRedStone3's Builder Application (Updated 3)

Minecraft Username: MrRedStone3

Have you read the Read Before Posting post?: Yes

Your favorite thing about redstone: That its possible to creatively build digital technology without any limits.

A build you have made which demonstrates redstone knowledge (This is your trial build): A vertical RCA I originally designed for another server but I think its still very good, I modified it a bit to make it to an 8bit ALU

Explain what your build does in detail: The ALU is based on and vertical RCA and it works like that:

it takes the two inputs into an XOR the output of this XOR goes into another XOR where the second input the CIN (Carry-In) is this output then goes to the output of the bit. It takes the two inputs and the CIN into an AND wich if its activated goes to COUT (Carry-Out). For example:

00000001 + 00000001 + CIN = 00000011

it takes the COUT in the CIN of the next bit.

an example for sub:

!B + CIN on,

00000101 - 00000011 = 00000010

without !B an CIN it would look like this (using two’s complement):

00000101 + 11111101 = 0000 0010 (COUT is on) [5 + (-3) = 2]

I hope now it’s enough explaned : D.

Sorry for my bad english

Your trial build is not sufficiently advanced. The bar for trial builds is at or above the level of a 4 Bit ALU. Please respond with a new build if/when you decide on one.

You should be able to understand your ALU. Can you expand on what bitwise operations it can perform?

I think I’m giving up, I don’t want to build a new ALU just because it doesn’t have bitwise operations.

Okay, while that’s sad to hear I appreciate your notice. Feel free to reapply when you decided to make an ALU by making a new topic.
