Hey all! A couple of you might recognize me, far more wont, but my name is Rogue. I joined ORE years ago when i was only 10 or 11, fascinated by the world of redstone circuitry and drawn in from old video explanation series (all the way back when bennyscube’s videos were still pretty new!) I joined up, working in the school with basic adders and such, so much so that it became my main hobby. After I graduated to builder though, i sort of… “lost” my goal. I already did it, I was a builder, recognized as capable. Though my time on the server dwindled, my fascination for logic only grew.
When I first applied to college, I was a biology major, planning for a pre-med track. But, only a month out of classes, I had a deep look at my past, what I loved, and what brought me to where I was. While Biology paid well, and it was certainly going to help people… did I really enjoy it? No. Computers, however, were fascinating for me. They always were. When i was a kid i played with vex robotics and little toy robot kits, in my teen years I spent most of my time on ORE, and now… I changed my major to Electrical/Computer Engineering, because I realize now that my time on this server really changed me, and was by far some of the most fun I’ve had learning ever! I’m only a first semester student as of writing this, but even now, some of my classes align with what I’ve been learning, and its reignited my passion to try out this server, and apply some of the things I’ve learned in a physical sense!
I plan on joining the server again very soon, perhaps over christmas break, and I want to genuinely build some of the things I’ve only been learning about. I want to see the new logic circuits in person and really understand them, rather than just copying the redstone and knowing it works. I want to figure out why the heck CLA is so popular in the real world, and why CCA is so popular here. I want to make a computer. Not only this, I want to give back to the community that taught me, and I want to share some of my lecture knowledge with the rest of the community. I wanna head onto /school and help others grow their own interests! ORE is the reason I’m in college for ECE. ORE helped me find my passion for electronics, and for that, I thank you all
