ORE Contribution Guidelines

Note: Just to clarify, this is about ORE server projects and not redstone builds. So it’ll be things like the ongoing Patrick bot development or Tutorials or whatever else.

Currently there aren’t any, so let’s do our best to keep it that way :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Planned Projects

These are projects which staff has approved, but haven’t been made active. Find a staff member to sponsor one and that’s sufficient to get things moving.

Currently there aren’t any listed, but this will likely change over time.

Requested Projects

If you want to work on a project which doesn’t exist on any of the other lists, then feel free to create a request in #suggestions with the format below.

The project sponsor will be decided when staff runs a vote to determine if the request becomes an active project. Additionally, we suggest reaching out to others about voicing their support of your suggestion to better demonstrate how much of the community wants it to happen.

Project Name: ORE Forums Guides

Description: The contributors for this project will plan out a handful of different forum posts to be added as official ORE resources on the various topics people need for each rank along with some supplemental lessons outside of that. The overall plan is to cover the topics listed in Kuggo’s diagram to the extent that they’re used in typical rank progression, with a few exceptions here and there (mainly things like memory and control logic).
