During our last Town Hall, we discussed many different topics, one of which was a Contribution System. After a couple weeks, we’ve finally got things prepared and ready to go!
Note: Just to clarify, this is about ORE server projects and not redstone builds. So it’ll be things like the ongoing Patrick bot development or Tutorials or whatever else.
What’s going on?
In an effort to get more work done on projects AND give our community a chance to contribute, we’ve implemented a Contribution System.
We now have a lightweight well-defined set of procedures for members to help on active projects, revive inactive projects, start planned projects, and suggest new projects. Ideally this gives people more awareness and a clearer path to contributing without being too bureaucratic.
How do I start?
The full details are at the link here (it’s fairly concise): ORE Contribution Guidelines
There’s also a Discord channel for discussion here: Contribution System
Any feedback or questions should be directed to that channel. If you’re unable or unwilling to join the ORE Discord server (or just prefer not to discuss in a public channel), then simply reach out to a staff member. Given most of the proposal was drafted by Amelium (hey that’s me!), that’d probably be the best person to ask.
